- Beyond the Badlands, was created by Steve Cuda Smith. A U.S. Air Force drone pilot, song writer and guitarist, living in Germany. One of Harley's closest friends, a very talented producer and singer, Rudiger Vocals, Invited Harley to play bass for Steve. Due to the current 2020 pandemic, everything has been recorded individually at their home studios. Through technology, they've been able to email each other the tracks. After that, Rudiger works his magic. "It's always an honor to collab with such talented musicians". Gritty southern blues rock with a hint of country soul. Harley worked with a hard hitting Blues influenced rock band called Night On Fire (aka NOF). His creativity and skills at improvising helped shape the foundation for NOF's gritty and soulful original sound. For the next year, NOF played multiple shows a week throughout Southern California at venues such as the Sunset Strip House of Blues (main stage), The Viper Room, The Mint, Molly Malone's, The Cabana Club, Saint Rocke, Blue Cafe, Brixton South Bay, and the Orange County Fair. NOF eventually released a 6 song EP with Harley on Bass.

Harley recorded bass for the song "Lifted" at Your Music Company in Culver City California for an up and coming artist by the name of Georgia Jane (a.k.a. GJ). The style and influence for GJ's music comes from her love of hip-hop, soul, and world music. She also draws inspiration from artists like Bob Marley, Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu, Aaliyah, Timbaland, Maxwell, and Nnekam. You can listen to Harley's bass playing by clicking on the player below.

Good times working on the Lotusland EP. Not only did the artist (Bixby) give all the musicians freedom to write their own parts, but the entire recording process took place at the world famous Sunset Sound Recording Studios in Hollywood California. Harley said "It was definitely an honor to record in the same studio Prince recorded the Purple Rain album". He also recorded a music video for the song "Fame Whore", which was filmed at the Jim Henson Company in the Charlie Chaplin Studio.
The LotusLand EP includes 4 original songs and one cover (Vow written by Garbage). You can listen to the songs below and download the album @ LotusLand EP. Watch the music video here: Fame Whore

Harley was introduced to Mike Oliviero, a folk infused indie artist out of Silver Lake California. Mikes music combines a variety of colors, moods, and textures of extremes to create a three-dimensional sound that can be touched as much as heard. So if you like Band Of Horses, Bon Iver, and Fleet Foxes, then you'll love Mike Oliviero!
"One of the best parts of living in LA is working with great artists such as Mike Oliviero. His music has a way of making you feel excited; that no matter what happens everything is going to be okay." - Boom Boom Bass

These last few tracks feature a live improv jam of The Meters "Cissy Strut", with Harley Duggan on bass, Jason Gaffner on guitar, Reid Kurks on drums, and Dave Hayes, a keyboard player they met that day. The last three songs are unmixed instrumental ideas written by Harley, Jason, and Reid as The Mama Belles. They also collaborated with Matthew Young an extremely creative vocal artist and trumpet player, in hopes of recording the songs, but unfortunately they never made it to the studio. Perhaps some day they'll reunite to finish what they started...
